NOTICE OF TAX WARRANT
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, that pursuant to Section 1428 of the Real Property Tax Law, I, Traci M. Wallace, Tax Collector for the Village of Mexico, have received and filed the Tax Roll and Warrant for the collection of Village taxes for fiscal year June 1, 2026 through May 31, 2027.
Taxes will be received at the Village Clerk’s Office, 3236 Main Street, Mexico, N.Y. 13114 from June 1, 2026 through November 1, 2026 between the hours of 8:30 am and 4:00 pm, Monday through Thursday and Friday 8:30 am until noon. Village taxes may be paid without penalty through July 1, 2026.
After July 1, 2026, a five percent (5%) penalty will be added and one percent (1%) on the first day of each month thereafter through November 1, 2026. All taxes remaining unpaid after November 1, 2026, will be submitted to Oswego County for re-levy to the 2027 County/Town Taxes. The Village of Mexico tax rate per 1000 of assessed valuation is $7.71.
