PART-TIME DEPUTY TOWN CLERK

I am currently seeking letters of interest for a part-time Deputy Town Clerk position. Thank you for your interest in this vacancy!

Interested candidates must be residents of the Town of Mexico. Please note that residing within the Mexico School District does NOT automatically constitute a Mexico residency.

The Deputy Town Clerk position will pay $18.45/hour beginning January 1st with a maximum number of 800 hours in the 2026 calendar year. Ideal candidates will be able to work two days per week April-December from 11am-4pm, and Monday-Thursday 10am-4pm during Tax Collecting season, which is January-March.

Minimum qualifications include graduation from high school or possession of an equivalent diploma.

I will be looking for someone with excellent customer service and technological skills. Familiarity with record organization, email, word processing and spreadsheet software is necessary. Experience with payment processing software and basic accounting is preferred but on-the-job training will be offered.
